Today, Tomorrow & Forever

OUR STORY

You might call it luck, or just plain old silly, but we thank God for how we became ‘us.’ Sam stumbled upon Cade’s profile on social media. She could not help but drool over how handsome Cade was and gave his page a follow with a few likes on old photos. The next day, Sam posted a picture of herself and Cade sent her a message commenting on how “cute” she was. They sent a few flirtatious messages back and forth and then exchanged phone numbers. The next day Cade called Sam while he was on the way home from a hunting trip. They spoke for two hours straight. From that day on, hours spent on the phone with each other became a daily norm.

After about two months of non-stop talking, the two tried to figure out, “what’s next?” Sam, without any true discussion, took it upon herself to book a flight to Texas. She sent Cade the confirmation and flight information. Luckily Cade was happy about it despite his thought, “this girl is crazy.”

They both would describe that weekend to have been the best weekend of their lives. Sam left and Cade instantly booked a flight to see her in NC the next week. He asked her to be his girlfriend on the lake while they were jet skiing during sunset. They didn’t know what their relationship was going to look like, they just knew that they were meant to be together.

2 years and 8 months of long distance finally came to a close when Cade took the two of them for a 3 month long adventure across Europe. They kept betting on the trip; “if this trip goes well, forever will start when we get home.”

3 months and 18 countries later, Cade and Sam felt more confident than ever about their love. After the holidays, Sam packed her bags and moved across the country to start forever with Cade.

Living together was a dream come true and they were loving each and everyday. They quickly realized how much fun they were having when they were surprised with a positive pregnancy test; that’s a story for another day.

Cade proposed to Sam in April, they bought a house in May, moved to Texas in June, got married at the courthouse in October and welcomed baby Haven in November.

Everything about this love story is non traditional but that is exactly what makes it so special. Through all the chaos, the time differences, the sacrifices and the unknowns, love was ALWAYS present and they both felt chosen every single day. Although the two of them have already made vow’s to continue their story until death do them part, they are excited to celebrate their love with the ultimate gathering of their friends and family.
